Berkeley Lab Campus has a high landslide risk and many active landslides. To better characterize the subsurface properties causing the landsliding, we are monitoring changes in seismic velocities, groundwater and pore pressure dynamics, as well as soil deformations. To determine the depth of the measured velocity changes and obtain a detailed velocity and elastic moduli model of the subsurface, we want to acquire P- and S-wave seismic refraction data.
